Speed to power — grid batteries

For a hybrid BESS, both grades matter. The most lucrative siting is in areas with a D/E on one direction and an A/B on the other — that spread is where congestion-management revenue is largest.

How to read

1. Switch to afname (consumption) in the Direction toggle at the top of the map.
2. Filter on A/B in the Lens — anything above is connectable without waiting.
3. Open a feeder area. The detail panel shows the TenneT cap, relief year and the planned reinforcement projects.
4. Use the timeline scrubber to project grades forward to your permitting window.
